Artist's Statement:
 "Welcome to my on-line gallery.

Through the various seasons of life, I have continually sought to explore my creativity. My artwork has evolved, fit into precious moments of time between teaching, work and family.

Currently I’m working in acrylic, pastel and watercolour, sometimes combined, and focusing on local landscapes and experiences. I enjoy walking the land with my husband, who is a keen outdoorsman, experiencing nature firsthand. Making sketches, taking reference photos and, when possible, plein air painting, I record and interpret the feel of the land. I am influenced by new ideas and experiences which I ponder and process, while my working methods adapt as I study, experiment and explore.

Recently, I’ve become more contemplative in my work as I reflect on my Mennonite heritage of faith. My art echoes this as a sense of life’s deeper meaning and purpose impresses on me. The opportunity to personally experience this wonder fills me with gratitude as I feel inspired to share this story with my art.

Thank you for taking the time to visit. I hope you enjoy my visual interpretations of the land."
