Artist's Comments:

Juried into the Harmony Arts Festival Group Exhibition for 2015.   In Britannia Shipyards, Stilt Houses and Chinese Bunk house.  There is something so serene in this image that I walked through in late September in 2014.  That morning, the fog had just lifted and suddenly, the hues of the rebuilt structures and plants and environment just lit up.  There is harmony in this scene of color and structure, but discord in the hardships, hopes and living conditions these buildings represent for the original employees that lived here in the early 1900’s.  The harmony of the water setting in the renovated waterfront contrasts with the structures original purpose and the treeless marsh that existed there.
