| A self-taught artist, Lori first picked up a paintbrush several years ago when she signed up for a decorative, pen ink & acrylic course she took to relieve the every day stresses of being a full-time working wife and mother. After that one class, she was infatuated with the art of painting and determined to learn all she could about the craft. Experimentation and her love of colour soon led her to watercolours. Her love of life and nature have always been her inspiration. Lori’s work has been accepted into several juried exhibitions. Her paintings range from playful to contemporary, and from bold to serene. She paints with watercolour, acrylic, ink, or a combination of all three. Nature, children at play, and cats are her favourite subjects with colour being the key to her work. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Lori has lived in or visited all of the provinces of Canada. She has resided in British Columbia for over 20 years. She now lives in Coquitlam with her husband, her two young sons, and her cat, all of whom encourage and inspire her in her creative endeavours. |
