Biography: |
| | Diane was born & raised in Calgary, Alta. She moved to Vancouver in 1963 & was fascinated with the ocean and roses blooming in the winter.The lush greenery and many moods of the ocean inspired her work,her 2 favorite subjects being florals & seascapes.
While raising her family she took up oil painting in 1976.Painting quickly became her passion. She ultimately opened an art studio & began teaching in 1980. In 1989 she joined the faculty of The North Shore Continuing Education teaching many arts & craft classes while still holding private classes in her home art studio.
Diane’s work varies widely including oil & acrylic painting and fabric arts.Although most of her time is spent painting and teaching, she still finds time for many other creative interests. |
