Jean Haines workshop

Just on my way home from a 2 day workshop in Vancouver with British artist, Jean Haines hosted by Janice Blore of Artescapes studio Artescapes.com. I discovered and was amazed by Jean's work last fall.  I am struggling to move away from my realistic painting style and become looser and more abstract; more interpretive and feeling than technical and literal.  Jean was very inspiring, entertaining and engaging.  She is incredibly positive with the philosophy you need to find joy, every day, in your painting.  You can see 2 paintings (Evolution of the Chicken & Catharsis) I did in Jean's style in advance of the workshop based on reading her books and watching one of her videos.  I will post new works that incorporate what I picked up at the workshop as I complete them.  Hopefully my evolving style will be evident.  Stay tuned & thanks for your interest.
