|Artist's Comments:||Benjamin Oppong-Danquah is a professional artist born on the 5th of December 1967 in Accra, Ghana. Had his ordinary level secondary education at the Nsutaman Catholic Secondary, Nsuta Ashanti and advanced level education at Wenchi Methodist Secondary in the Brong-Ahafo Region. Benjamin Oppong-Danquah pursued Art in both ordinary and advanced level and has diploma of art from the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi Ghana. I have also had courses on Foundation in Export Marketing and Training Workshops on Business Management. I did my National Service at the Asante Mampong National Service Secretariat on projects. I produced collage works for the secretariat to raise funds. I also taught graphics design (print making) picture making and calabash art both theory and practical at Cambridge Junior Secondary School a private Kumasi, Ghana. # I also taught some senior secondary students as a part-time teacher in picture making. I have also done few workshops on drawing and painting and collage works for Africa/Caribbean Association in Watford, UK.I therefore decided to work on my own so I registered my company with the Registrar General's office in Ghana (Ben -Art Enterprise) and also registered as an Exporter (A small scale enterprise, exporting painting and collage works) Exhibitions: In 1997 and 1999, I participated in Pan-African festival of Art Bazaar in Cape Coast, Ghana. In 1998, participated in Accra International Handicraft Fair, Accra, Ghana organized by Ghana Export Promotion Council. April 2003 invited by Thailand Trade Centre in Accra to participate in Bangkok International Gift and Houseware Fair, Thailand. October 2003, invited by Expo Africa to participate in Expo 2003 exhibition in Britain at the Alexandra Palace, London where I exhibited the portraits of the President of Ghana and the King of the Ashanti Kingdom among others. November 2003 invited by the Managing Director of Openet Plc in Harlesden to participate in exhibition for Black History Month. February 2004 participated in Ethic Exhibitions Jewellery and Handicraft Fair in Earlscourts some of my works have been to the United States, Great Britain and Canada.
