Reminder: All meetings are from 7:00 to 9:00pm at Kyle Centre - behind the PoMo Art Centre.
From September through November, we meet every Monday except statutory holidays.
In December we have our Christmas Break party.
From January to May, we meet every week except for statutory holidays. In June we have our Summer Break party.
Ten attended meetings between October 1st to September 30th are required to display in the Fall Show Category One. Signing the Attendance sheet passed at each meeting is our record of your attendance. There are several categories of the Fall show that do not require minimum meeting attendance. Please read your show information CAREFULLY before you start painting for the show!!!

  17 Art Critique Lalita Hamill – Lalita has a B.A. in Philosophy, she is an art teacher, Classical Painter, and is a member of the AFCA.
  24 Workshop Preshow Quality Control – How to Frame and wire your art work for the show by Hazel Graveness, Ginger Lovell, Jack Prasad and Marjorie Turnbull. Please bring your artwork to have it checked.
October 1 Business Meeting (after meeting) Fall Show Registration & Membership Renewal Registration and Fees for ALL CATEGORIES. Make sure all your catalogue information is completed correctly—no changes after this night. No entry fees for any category accepted after this date. If you are away get someone to bring your entry form and fees. Categories 2, 3 & 5 to be submitted Nov. 1st art intake night.

  15 Guest Artist Denna Fogstrom – Deanna is an Urban Landscape Oil Painter, and an art teacher with a BA from Gleneagle.
  22 Workshop General Time to finish paintings for the show
  29 Guest Artist Chrissy Cheung – On colour theory. She is a Contemporary Abstract Acrylic Painter who grinds her own pigments; She is an Art Teacher with a BA.
November 1 Annual Show Art Intake for Annual Fall Show (Your last name) M-Z 7:00-7:30pm A-L 7:30-8:00pm Bring paperwork & title cards for categories 2, 3 & 5 entries.
  2 Annual Show Opening Night 51st Annual Fall Show 7:30 -9:30 pm Doors open at 7:00 p.m. SHARP Guest Speakers open show at 7:30 p.m.
  3 & 4 Annual Show 51st Annual Fall Show – 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Refreshment committee arrive early to make coffee etc. Saturday: Unframed table to be set up prior to 10:00 am. All members to help take down show Sunday at 5:00 pm – Not Before.

  26 Guest Artist Demo by Verna Brown – “Pet Portraits”. She uses Acrylics in bright bold colours and paints pets with character and personality.
