Port Moody Art Association's 50th Annual Exhibition and Sale
The Port Moody Art Association's 50th Annual Art Show and Sale will be held on Friday November 3rd, 2017 to Sunday November 5th, 2017. The Gala Reception Opening for our Golden Anniversary will be on Friday November 3rd form 7:30pm-9:30pm. Come and meet the local artists who create some spectacular original pieces of art.
The show's hours for Saturday and Sunday are 10am-5pm. The Gala Opening will be November 3rd, 2017, 7:30pm – 9:30pm

Celebrating our 50th anniversary: 1967-2017
THE MURAL MOSAIC:
This work by 35 Port Moody Art Association artists used an image of a heron. After dividing the image on a grid, each artist created a work using Port Moody as a theme. From a distance, the combined images appear as a heron; up close, you see images unique to each artist.
Several paintings by 32 Port Moody Art Association artists represent just a sample of the high-quality pieces produced over the years.

Marian HazelwoodMarian was born and raised near Jericho Beach, Vancouver. She is mainly a self taught artist, whose medium of choice is oils. Marian is inspired by images of boardwalks, rainy days and rainbows, sparkling mists, chestnut trees in Fall, West coast Mountains and moody seashores. She has been a member of the PMAA since 1985 and has been a key organizational player in our Shows for many years. A very worthy recipient of all three awards!
Port Moody Art Association's 48th Annual Exhibition and Sale
The Port Moody Art Association's 48th Annual Exhibition and Sale of Original Paintings was held on November 6, 7 and 8, 2015 at the Port Moody Social Recreation Centre, 300 Ioco Road, Port Moody, B.C. Over 1000 art lovers visited, 76 art pieces sold as well as 199 art cards.

People's Choice awards, 2015 show
- Favourite painting:
"INNOCENCE" by Stephen Man-Fai Cheng. Stephen has been a professional artist for over 30 years. He graduated from the "Hong Kong Fine Art College" and studied under the direction of some of China's most famous painters and art professors. His instructors taught him to observe life and to try to capture the essence of the subject at hand. His talents are many and diverse - oil portraits, murals, set design for theater and opera, and teaching. Stephen has described his work as "large poems that glorify the joy and peace of the inner self, which gives us a chance to dream".
- Runner-up favourite painting:
"SPIRITS OF THE FOREST" by Jack Prasad. Jack is a self-taught artist from Fiji. He has been a member of our association for over 25 years. His mediums have ranged from pen and ink to watercolours, and his favourite, acrylics. He also works with fluorescent mediums in his black light studio. His inspiration for his collection of forest paintings comes from his travels throughout our Province.......each art piece is a memory of what he has experienced with his own eyes,
